Inside the castle, the people are restless. The servants had been told by the King's advisors to await for the arrival of the one who would save them all. As they scattered about the castle in nervous anticipation, a loud knocking was heard at the main entryway. As the strongest of them lifted the heavy oaken bar from the doors, you slowly walk inside. Some of the younger servants could do nothing but stare as you made your entrance. Then the head servant spoke: "I am Edion, chief of the servants of my Lord's castle; what business have you here?" "I am here to hold a conference with your Lord the King," you state calmly, "I was told to proceed to his castle by a messenger." Edion smirked. "You are the one we have been waiting for? How am I to be sure you are not a spy or an assassin?" At this you reply, "It is not my country that is in danger of a great evil, Edion; it is yours. And I doubt the King your Lord would approve not only of your harsh welcome to a guest, but to waste time with this foolishness, when there is very little time left already. Stand aside." At this Edion drew his dagger and threateningly said "You will not give orders to me, you cur. You have no proof, no tokens of my King that suggest that you speak truthfully. You must have a ring bearing the King's ensign in order to go any further." At this you become aggitated; there was no time to have recieved a token, and with certain doom awaiting the King and his people, it had not seemed of much importance.
