Past Layouts
Here are the past layouts of Avista's Forest. I put this page up to show my site's humble beginnings, and how it has changed in just three years' time.

  • [Version 1.0]

My very first attempt at a website. It was an iframe site *shudder*. I had used a background from soup-faerie.com, and table colors that didn't even match >o<. I used my very first drawing of Avista (in pencil) at the top of the page, and it really didn't look that good T_T.

  • [Version 2.0]

Version 2.0 is a slight improvement; I added in an actual navigation system, and I learn that drawings done in ink pen show up a lot nicer than with pencil. I thought it looked a lot better at the time ^o^.

  • [Version 3.0]

I finally found a free painting program that was better than paint, and so this is my first try at a layout with a colored header. This is also when I changed to a table format. I got rid of the old background and went with a solid color. I added in even more content -__-;;;.

  • [Version 4.0]

I get photoshop and learn gradually how to color with it. I changed the header in hopes of making my site look more professional-looking, and I also get rid of the earth faeries in the navigation bars and replaced them with lotus flowers ^o^.

  • [Version 5.0]

At first, it was basically the same as Version 4.0, but with a new header. But later I decided to change the background to a lighter color, and with a diagonal line pattern as well. Then I changed that as well, so that the lines were farther apart. I felt that I've been using solid color backgrounds for a long time, so it was time to try something new.

  • [Version 6.0]

Pretty much the same as Version 5.0, except that I decided that I wanted to use brighter spring colors, and made the background striped vertically. I'm not sure why I considered this a newer version though -__-;;;. I guess It's because I gave the header image rounded edges and used some brushes on it, and changed the color of my tables.

  • [Version 7.0]

For this version of Avista's Forest, I wished to have a smaller header image, so that it wouldn't take up too much space. I had also learned how to make parts of the layout transparent, such as around the header image and lotus flowers, and between the tables themselves. I also added rounded edges to the bottom of the tables and an anchor link at the bottom of each page so visitors wouldn't have to scroll all the way back up to the top of the page. The header image artwork itself is an improvement over past ones, as my drawing and coloring abilities had improved, although there are some things I plan to improve on for the next layout version.
