Eternity

Through quiet meadows, past running streams,
Beneath the treetops, rest, and dream of dreams.

The clouds drift onwards, the rain is washed away
The leaves blow in the wind, the branches bow and sway.

The worst is over now, sad tears no more to weep
The darkness is no more, so rest, in peaceful sleep.

Let's dream of yesteryear, of days once long ago
And dwell on joyous memories, and not on times of woe.

Let's rest in quiet shade, from gentle sunlight rays
In everlasting peace, for all our endless days.
