Welcome to Venomous Nightmare, a TAFL approved fanlisting site dedicated to the inconceivably evil Vamdemon (Myotismon) of the anime/manga series Digital Monsters.
Vamdemon, or Myotismon as he is known in English, is an Undead Digimon of the Virus type, and is at the Perfect (Ultimate in English) level. He is stylized after vampires, in both his manner of dress, his dislike for light, and his ability to feed off of other Digimon's data (or blood in the case of humans). Vamdemon appears in both the anime series (in Season 1 and 2), and in the manga series V-Tamer.
Anime: Vamdemon is the third villian in the first season, and ordered his servant Picodevimon (Demidevimon) to keep the Digidestined separated and from activating their crests (which failed every time). Vamdemon then went to the Human world to find and kill the eighth Digidestined. He discovered that his servant Tailmon (Gatomon) was the eighth child's digimon partner, and eventually found the eighth child, who was Yagami Hikari, Taichi's younger sister. Hikari was given her crest and digivice, allowing Tailmon to evolve to Angewomon, and was able to destroy Vamdemon. But Vamdemon was not entirely gone. He came back as Venomvamdemon (VenomMyotismon) once his Alpha bats had absorbed as much energy as they could find. He was later defeated by MetalGarurumon and WarGreymon. At the end of the second season it is discovered that Vamdemon's spirit still lived, even though he was defeated. He had possessed Yukio Oikawa, and caused most of the events in the second season. Once he had gained enough energy he left Oikawa's body and evolved into BelialVamdemon (MaloMyotismon). All of the digidestined from around the world were needed in order to destroy him again, this time for good.
Manga: In V-Tamer Vamdemon works for Daemon and guards the Tag of Illusions. He tries to pit Taichi and Zeromaru against each other, but it fails and he is defeated by them. Later as Neo attacks Holy Angel Castle, it seems that the hatred left behind after Vamdemon was defeated caused him to gain the power to evolve into VenomVamdemon, in exchange for his intellegence, leaving only his desire to kill. He is defeated once again by Taichi and Zeromaru.
About Venomous Nightmare
I made this site because Vamdemon was my favorite villian of the entire Digimon series (although I've only seen the first three seasons, so if there are any villians better than Vamdemon in the seasons afterwards, I wouldn't know about them ^o^). I came up with the site's name based on Vamdemon being a Virus type Digimon (it was going to be Virulent Nightmare, but I thought Venomous sounded better), and one of Vamdemon's attacks, Nightmare Wave. When I found the Digimon manga V-Tamer and saw Vamdemon, I instantly thought "I wonder if there's already a fanlisting for Vamdemon." So I checked at TAFL and it wasn't already there, so I made this site ^o^.
